Binary Vortex is EXCEPTIONALLY EASY TO USE. There are three basic steps to getting the software up and running. The first step is to configure your news server.
It’s a dirty fact of newsreaders that you need three little pieces of information – the news server hostname, username, and password. That tends to make this first step the most difficult one.
If you have an existing newsreader, then it’s easiest to lookup the settings contained within it. Otherwise, you might want to check with your ISP (check the startup kit from when you signed up, or check their online help).
In the rare case that your ISP doesn’t provide news service, then you can always try one of the paid newsgroup providers such as supernews, giganews, etc. These providers offer newsgroup service at a very affordable rate.
